Camilo Rebelo
Architect and Founder of Camilo Rebelo Arquitectos
Camilo Rebelo is a Portuguese architect known for his contemplative, landscape-sensitive architecture that often merges seamlessly with natural and archaeological contexts. Born in Porto in 1972, he studied at the University of Porto and later collaborated with Eduardo Souto de Moura and Herzog & de Meuron before founding his own practice in 2000. His notable works include the Museum of Art and Archaeology of Côa Valley (with Tiago Pimentel), the Casa em Monsaraz, and the Estadio de Aveiro. Rebelo’s architecture is distinguished by a minimalist aesthetic, monolithic forms, and a strong relationship to topography and materiality.
