Roberto Bannura joined Steven Holl Architects in 2007, becoming Director in 2010 and Partner in 2018. He has led the firm’s award-winning projects across Asia, Russia, Australia, the Middle East and most recently Albania, including the EXPO Albania (Tirana), Sliced Porosity Block (Chengdu), ICarbonX Headquarters (Shenzhen), and Cofco Cultural and Health Center (Shanghai).
He holds a New York State license and NCARB certification, and is recipient of the Claude Françoise Brunet de Baines Medal, bestowed by the Universidad de Chile where Mr. Bannura earned his Architecture and Urban Planning degree (Summa Cum Laude). He also holds an Urban Economy degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. His expertise spans cultural projects, master plans, and large-scale developments, making him a key figure in contemporary architecture across multiple regions.
This lecture is part of the ‘Atelier Albania Open Lecture Series’, organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture and Albanian Association of Architects. This series aims to bring the insights and expertise of international architects to the Albanian audience, highlighting their ongoing contributions to local projects.
