
Go Hasegawa
Architect, Founder of Go Hasegawa and Associates
Go Hasegawa (b. 1977, Saitama, Japan) is a Japanese architect known for his poetic and culturally resonant designs. He earned his Master’s degree from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2002 and worked at Taira Nishizawa Architects until founding his own practice, Go Hasegawa and Associates, in 2005. Hasegawa has held numerous academic positions, including lectureships at Tokyo Institute of Technology (2009–2011), visiting professorships at the Academy of Architecture of Mendrisio (2012–2014), Oslo School of Architecture and Design (2014), UCLA (2016), and Harvard GSD (2017, 2019). He received his PhD in Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2015. His work has been recognized with several awards, including the Kajima Prize (2005), the 24th Shinkenchiku Prize, the Gold Prize from the Tokyo Society of Architects (2007), and inclusion in the AR Design Vanguard (2014).
