Architect and Founding Partner at OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen
Kersten Geers is a Belgian architect and educator, renowned for his minimalist and conceptually rigorous approach to architecture. He co-founded OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen (KGDVS) in 2002, a Brussels-based practice recognized for its spatial clarity and intellectual depth. OFFICE’s work spans various scales and typologies, from furniture design to urban interventions, often blending theoretical exploration with practical application.
Geers holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Ghent and the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid. Before establishing OFFICE, he worked with Maxwan Architects and Urbanists and Neutelings Riedijk Architects in Rotterdam. In addition to his architectural practice, Geers is a Full Professor at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio and has served as a Design Critic at Harvard Graduate School of Design, among other academic roles. He is also a founding member of the architecture magazine San Rocco.
