Co-Founder of RICA STUDIO*
Lorena del Río is a Spanish architect and the Director of the Architecture and Real Estate Management Department at SEGIPSA, where she leads major public architecture and urban development projects. She is also the co-founder of RICA STUDIO*, a Madrid- and New York–based architectural practice and research platform exploring sustainability, flexibility, and the role of time in design. Her work spans multiple scales—from installations to urban strategies—aiming to improve living conditions through architecture that adapts to social and environmental change. With a strong presence in both professional and academic spheres, del Río contributes to shaping a more dynamic, inclusive, and future-oriented architectural practice.
