Margarita Peredo Arenas, known as Magui Peredo, is a Mexican architect and educator, co-founder of Estudio Macías Peredo, based in Guadalajara, Mexico. She earned her architecture degree from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) in 2003 and a Master’s in Theory and History of Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Since 2010, she has taught at ITESO, focusing on architectural design and theory. Estudio Macías Peredo, founded in 2012 with Salvador Macías Corona, is renowned for its integration of local craftsmanship and modern design. Their projects, such as Casa Chacala and Hotel Punta Caliza, emphasize the use of regional materials and traditional building techniques, creating spaces that resonate with cultural and environmental context.
