Architect and co-founder of NeM Architectes
Thibault Marca is a French architect and co-founder of NeM Architectes (Niney et Marca), an architecture and design firm established in Paris in 2008 alongside Lucie Niney. Graduates of the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris La Villette, both Marca and Niney are recognized for their minimalist and context-sensitive approach to architecture, emphasizing the use of authentic materials and a deep understanding of existing structures. NeM Architectes has garnered acclaim for projects that blend contemporary interventions with historical contexts. A notable example is their collaboration with Japanese architect Tadao Ando on the renovation of the Bourse de Commerce in Paris, transforming the former stock exchange into the Pinault Collection Museum. This project exemplifies their commitment to preserving architectural heritage while introducing modern elements.
In addition to their architectural practice, Marca and Niney have been involved in various cultural and ecological initiatives, reflecting their dedication to sustainable and socially responsible design.
