Architect, Curator, and Co-Founder of Kuehn Malvezzi
Wilfried Kuehn is a German architect, curator, and writer, best known as one of the co-founders of the Berlin-based firm Kuehn Malvezzi. His work focuses on cultural venues and the transformation of historical urban contexts. Notable projects include the architectural design for Documenta 11, the Rieckhallen extension as part of the Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, and the current renovation of the Bâtiment d’Art Contemporain in Geneva. In addition to his practice, Kuehn is professor and head of the Department of Spatial Design at the Technical University Vienna, and has been influential in rethinking how architecture engages with curatorial practice.
