Architect, Curator, and Co-Founder of Kuehn Malvezzi
Wilfried Kuehn is a German architect, curator, and educator, and co-founder of the Berlin-based practice Kuehn Malvezzi. His work is internationally recognized for its thoughtful engagement with exhibition design, museum architecture, and architectural interventions within historic and cultural contexts.
Kuehn’s practice explores the relationship between architecture, art, and curatorial thinking, focusing on how spatial design can shape the experience, interpretation, and public life of cultural institutions. His notable projects include work for the Museum of Decorative Arts in Berlin, the Belvedere Museum in Vienna, and numerous contemporary art exhibitions across Europe.
Alongside his practice, Kuehn is Professor of Spatial and Exhibition Design at the University of the Arts Berlin, where he has contributed to rethinking architecture’s role within curatorial practice. Through built projects, exhibitions, and academic work, he continues to investigate how architecture can frame cultural memory, artistic production, and collective experience.
