Founding Director of Studio Egret West
David West is an urban designer and co-founder of Studio Egret West, established in 2004 with Christophe Egret. He studied Town Planning at the University of Manchester and Urban Design at TU Delft and the University of Westminster. Before founding his own practice, he worked at Atkins on international masterplanning projects and later led the BIG Architecture team at Alsop, focusing on large-scale urban strategies. His work integrates architecture, urban design, and landscape to create place-specific, resilient environments. He has also contributed to public sector design initiatives, including roles with RIBA Building Futures, CABE, and Transport for London’s design governance bodies.
