Alexis C. Landes is the Managing Principal and Partner at SCAPE, where she directs the firm’s global business operations, strategic growth, and unique collaborative leadership structure, successfully expanding the studio from 12 to 90 staff members across three offices. A seasoned landscape designer and urban planner, she has served as Principal-in-Charge for milestone initiatives such as the Resilient Boston Harbor Vision and critical neighborhood planning frameworks across Detroit. Landes integrates her executive practice with academia as a lecturer at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, teaching contemporary design business and practice, and previously served as an adjunct faculty member at the Rhode Island School of Design. Furthermore, she actively shapes the future of the profession as the Vice President of Leadership on the Board of the Landscape Architecture Foundation, where she advocates for diverse voices and collaborative leadership models across the field.
