
Antonio Capsoni
Structural Engineer, Academic, and Bridge Design Specialist
Antonio Capsoni is an Italian structural engineer and academic renowned for his expertise in structural mechanics and bridge engineering. He serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering (DABC) at Politecnico di Milano, where he teaches courses such as Theory of Structures and Stability of Structures. Capsoni earned his MSc in Civil Engineering in 1991 and completed his PhD in Structural Engineering in 1995 at Politecnico di Milano. He has been part of the university’s permanent staff since 1995, initially as an Assistant Professor and later as an Associate Professor from 2002. In addition to his academic role, Capsoni is a founding partner of B&C Associati, a structural and bridge engineering firm established in 1999. The firm has gained international recognition for its innovative bridge designs and has received several prestigious awards in the field.
