Beat Huesler – Panelist
Architect and European Partner at Oppenheim Architecture
Beat Huesler is a licensed architect with over 30 years of professional experience in New York and Basel, Switzerland, who heads the European studio of Oppenheim Architecture, which he co-founded in 2009 alongside Chad Oppenheim. His career is grounded in a deep technical foundation, beginning with a four-year technical drawing apprenticeship in Basel before he went on to study architecture at Cornell University. This background—along with running his own practice and working extensively with historic heritage structures—instilled a lifelong passion for functional design, sustainability, and the seamless integration of old and new elements. Today, Huesler utilizes his extensive construction knowledge and collaborative leadership style to manage a senior team delivering global projects, partnering closely with local builders and craftspeople to create structurally rigorous, environmentally responsive buildings that balance the pragmatic with the poetic.
