As part of Bread & Heart’s extended program, and in celebration of Italian Week in Tirana, we are proud to host the launch of Bosco Verticale, the book by renowned architect and urban visionary Stefano Boeri. Invited by the newly appointed Italian Ambassador, Boeri brings to Tirana a publication that has already resonated in cities such as Milan, London, and New York, offering a compelling reflection on the intersections of architecture, biodiversity, and urban life.
The book documents the conception and impact of Boeri’s most iconic work, the Bosco Verticale in Milan—a pair of residential towers wrapped in over 900 trees and 20,000 plants. More than a building, it represents a radical proposal for how cities can cohabit with nature, reducing pollution and reimagining architecture as a living ecosystem. Through essays, photographs, and technical insights, the book explores the tower’s global influence and its role as a blueprint for future green cities.
This event is not only a celebration of a landmark project, but also an invitation to reflect on how architecture can serve as an instrument for ecological and cultural transformation, resonating deeply with the themes of the Bread & Heart Festival.
