Brunello Cuccineli – Salt Guest
High-fashion house
Brunello Cucinelli grew up in the countryside of Castel Rigone in a farming family, where rural life taught him the values of work, dignity, beauty, and respect for nature and community. At the age of 24, he was hired as a model by a sportswear company, and at 25 he decided to create colored cashmere sweaters for women, inspired by contemporary style and Italian craftsmanship. He believed in producing high-quality garments for the “absolute luxury” market, combining craftsmanship, ethics, and human values.
Despite financial difficulties and uncertainty in the beginning, he continued to pursue his vision with determination and enthusiasm. His farming background and the humiliations his father suffered at work deeply influenced his belief in respect for human dignity and ethical working conditions. Together with Federica, he later moved to Solomeo, where he imagined not only the growth of his company, but also the restoration and rebirth of the medieval hamlet.
