Caroline Poulin is a French architect and urban planner, co-founder of the Paris-based architecture and urbanism firm l’AUC (Atelier d’Urbanisme et d’Architecture Contemporaine), established in 1996 alongside Djamel Klouche and François Decoster. The firm is renowned for its innovative approach to urban transformation, emphasizing hybridity, contrast, and the reinvention of existing spaces. Their portfolio includes significant projects such as the regeneration of Lyon’s Part-Dieu business district, the redevelopment of the Fives Cail Babcock industrial site in Lille, and the master plan for Brussels-Midi station. In 2021, l’AUC was awarded the Grand Prix de l’Urbanisme, and in 2023, they received the Patrick Abercrombie Prize from the International Union of Architects, recognizing their impactful contributions to urban design.
