Founder and Principal of Adjaye Associates
Sir David Adjaye is a Ghanaian-British architect and Principal and Founder of Adjaye Associates, with studios in Accra, London, and New York. His work spans cultural, civic, residential, and public projects, with a strong focus on community, materiality, and social impact.
He is best known for the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, which opened in 2016. His practice has received major international recognition, including the RIBA Royal Gold Medal and appointment to the Order of Merit.
