
David van Severen – Panelist
Architect and Co-founder of OFFICE
David Van Severen studied at Ghent University in Belgium and at ETSA in Madrid, Spain. Until 2004, he worked for Stéphane Beel Architects in Ghent, Xaveer De Geyter Architects in Brussels and Atelier Maarten van Severen. In 2002 he founded OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen with Kersten Geers. OFFICE has received numerous distinctions and awards, including the Belgian Architecture Prize, the Silver Lion at the 12th Venice Architecture Biennale and the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. Kersten Geers and David Van Severen have taught at various institutions, including the Berlage Institute, the GSAPP at Columbia University, the Yale School of Architecture, the EPF in Lausanne and the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture. They are co-founders of San Rocco magazine and currently hold the Kenzo Tange Chair at Harvard’s GSD.
