
Davide Rapp
Architect, Video Artist, and Explorer of Cinematic Space
Davide Rapp is an architect and video artist based in Milan, whose work bridges the disciplines of architecture, cinema, and digital media. Holding a Ph.D. in Interior Design from the Politecnico di Milano, Rapp specializes in creating video essays, spatial montages, and immersive installations that recontextualize architectural and cinematic narratives. His practice involves the meticulous assembly of film clips and visual fragments to explore the interplay between built environments and their representations. In 2014, Rapp gained international recognition with his contribution to the 14th International Architecture Exhibition – Fundamentals at the Venice Biennale. His piece, Elements, is a 32-minute montage comprising over 500 architecture-related clips, conceived for the ‘Elements of Architecture’ exhibition curated by Rem Koolhaas.
