Architect and Co-Founder of Christ & Gantenbein
Emanuel Christ is a Swiss architect and co-founder of Christ & Gantenbein, an internationally acclaimed architecture firm based in Basel. Known for projects that bridge historical context with contemporary expression, Christ has led the design of major cultural institutions, museums, and public buildings across Europe—including the Kunstmuseum Basel extension and the Swiss National Museum in Zurich. His work is distinguished by a careful dialogue between form, materiality, and urban identity, often merging rigorous conceptual frameworks with bold spatial strategies.
