Emre Arolat is a prominent Turkish architect known for blending contemporary design with cultural and historical context. He co-founded EAA in 2004, a global architecture firm with offices in Istanbul, London, and New York. Arolat’s notable projects include the Sancaklar Mosque near Istanbul — widely acclaimed for its minimalist and spiritual design — as well as the Museum Hotel in Antakya and the Istanbul Museum of Painting and Sculpture. His work often explores urban density, heritage, and modern materiality, and he has taught at institutions such as Yale and the Berlage Institute.
