
Francisco Lencastre
Founding Partner of OODA (Oporto Office for Design and Architecture)
Francisco Lencastre is a Portuguese architect and founding partner of OODA (Oporto Office for Design and Architecture), an innovative architecture studio based in Porto and Lisbon. He graduated from Universidade Lusíada in Porto in 2007, the same year he received the Secil Prize in Architecture – Universities for his project Casa das Artes do Barreiro. Before co-founding OODA in 2010, he worked at Menos é Mais, contributing to award-winning projects. At OODA, Lencastre has led diverse works including urban housing, mixed-use developments, and adaptive reuse projects like the Old Canning Factory and Lóios Apartments. He was named one of Europe’s top emerging architects with the Europe 40 Under 40 Award in 2022. In addition to architecture, he has a background in competitive sports and music, reflecting a dynamic and multidisciplinary spirit.
