Isaac Michan – Participant
Founding Partner & Principal of Michan Architecture
An architect and designer educated in Mexico, Australia and the United States, Isaac Michan understands that culture and context are not tied to any one place and no longer of one origin. As Founding Partner at Michan Architecture, Isaac oversees the design and construction phases of projects, striving to create architecture that is at once visionary, contextual, and deeply human, while also defining, fulfilling and exceeding client expectations. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Mexico’s leading Universidad Iberoamericana, with studies at RMIT, a global university of technology, design and enterprise; and a Master of Science in Architecture from Pratt Institute in New York City. In Mexico City, he has taught at Universidad Iberoamericana, Universidad Anahuac and the Architectural Association (AA) Visiting School. In September 2025, Isaac Michan was invited to speak at the ‘Ways of Living’ symposium, a forum focused on housing and public space hosted by USC School of Architecture and the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles. In March 2025, he moderated a talk, titled “Second Life,” about adaptively reusing buildings at the 173rd global edition and 2nd edition of the Zak World of Façades in Mexico.
