Architect, Educator, and Co-Founder of Barclay & Crousse
Jean Pierre Crousse (b. 1963, Lima, Peru) is a distinguished Peruvian architect and educator known for his work that interweaves architecture, landscape, and cultural context. He co-founded Barclay & Crousse Architecture in Paris in 1994 alongside Sandra Barclay; the firm relocated to Lima in 2006, maintaining its international presence. Their practice explores the relationship between architecture and landscape, focusing on how design can respond to both environmental conditions and human well-being. Crousse studied architecture at the Universidad Ricardo Palma in Lima and the Politecnico di Milano, further obtaining a Master’s degree in Landscape and Territory from Universidad Diego Portales in Chile.
