Jesús Hernández is a Spanish architect, urban planner, and landscape architect, and co-founder of Casanova+Hernandez Architects, a design and research studio based in Rotterdam and Tirana. Established in 2001 alongside Helena Casanova, the firm focuses on rethinking and designing urban habitats to create vibrant cities while promoting environmental and social sustainability. Their interdisciplinary approach integrates architecture, urban planning, and landscape architecture, resulting in projects that combine cultural sensitivity with innovative design. Notable works include the Marubi National Museum of Photography in Albania, the Ceramic Museum in Jinzhou, China, and the Eco Park in Durrës, Albania. In addition to his practice, Hernández has been a guest professor at institutions such as the University of Navarra, the Berlage Institute, and Shenzhen University. He is also co-author of publications like Public Space Acupuncture and Scale and Perception, which explore strategies for urban regeneration through small-scale interventions.
