Laura Fogarasi-Lufloff
Architect and Co-Founder of Ludloff Ludloff Architekten
Laura Fogarasi-Ludloff is a Swiss-born German architect and co-founder of Ludloff Ludloff Architekten, an architecture practice based in Berlin. She studied architecture at the Technical University of Vienna and the University of Dortmund, graduating in 1994. Prior to founding Ludloff Ludloff Architekten in 2007 with her husband, Jens Ludloff, she gained experience working in the offices of Ortner & Ortner, David Chipperfield, and Josef Paul Kleihues. Her architectural approach emphasizes the creation of spaces that are experienced through light, color, texture, and acoustics, aiming to evoke specific atmospheres and associations. This philosophy is evident in projects such as the SOS-Kinderdorf Botschaft für Kinder in Berlin and the Research and Development Center for Sedus Stoll AG in Dogern. In addition to her architectural practice, Fogarasi-Ludloff is actively involved in academia and professional organizations. She has served as a guest professor at the University of Erfurt and is a member of the Bund Deutscher Architekten (BDA), where she was elected to the board in 2019 and became chairwoman in 2024.
