Louis De Belle – Panelist
Photographer & Artist
Louis De Belle is an Italian photographer whose work occupies the intersection of contemporary art, street photography, and architectural inquiry. Based between Milan and Berlin, De Belle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication from the Politecnico di Milano and a Master of Fine Arts from the Bauhaus–Universität Weimar. His practice is characterized by a serial approach to “plasticity” and the isolation of mundane motifs—ranging from the hidden tools of magicians to the textures of urban drapery—to reveal their inherent strangeness. Notable for projects like Besides Faith, which explores the religious trade industry, and Cartographies, featured in the history of street photography by Joel Meyerowitz, his work has been exhibited at prestigious venues including the Triennale di Milano and the KINDL Centre for Contemporary Art.
