
LucĂa Cano
Architect and Co-Founder of SelgasCano
LucĂa Cano is a Spanish architect born in Madrid in 1965. She graduated from the Escuela TĂ©cnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid in 1992 and worked with her father, renowned architect Julio Cano Lasso, until 1996. In 1997, she co-founded SelgasCano with JosĂ© Selgas. Their work is distinguished by the use of polychromy, creative exploration with new materials, and a deep understanding of the relationship between architecture and its surrounding landscape. Notable projects include the Serpentine Pavilion in London (2015), various Second Home offices, and the Plasencia Auditorium and Conference Centre in Spain.
