Manuelle Gautrand is a French architect known for her bold, expressive architecture that often brings a sense of playfulness and theatricality to urban spaces. She founded her Paris-based firm, Manuelle Gautrand Architecture, in 1991, and has since completed a wide range of cultural, commercial, and civic projects. Notable works include the Citroën showroom on the Champs-Élysées, the extension of the Lille Métropole Museum of Modern Art, and the Gaîté Lyrique digital arts center in Paris. Gautrand is a member of the French Academy of Architecture and was the first woman to receive the European Prize for Architecture in 2017.
