Architect, Scholar, and Expert on Le Corbusier
Marta Sequeira is a Portuguese architect and academic renowned for her in-depth research on modern architecture, particularly the works of Le Corbusier. She earned her architecture degree from the Technical University of Lisbon in 2001 and completed her PhD at the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona (UPC) in 2008, focusing on Le Corbusier’s post-war public spaces. Sequeira has held teaching positions at several institutions, including the University of Évora and the Autonomous University of Lisbon, where she has contributed significantly to architectural education and research. Her scholarly work includes numerous publications on architectural history and theory, with a particular emphasis on the interplay between classical traditions and modernist principles in urban design.
