
Michel Desvigne
Landscape Architect and Urban Strategist
Michel Desvigne (b. 1958, Montbéliard, France) is an internationally acclaimed landscape architect renowned for his minimalist yet impactful designs that seamlessly integrate with urban environments. After studying natural sciences at the University of Lyon, he pursued landscape architecture at the École Nationale Supérieure du Paysage in Versailles, graduating in 1984. Desvigne’s early career was shaped by collaborations with prominent figures like Michel Corajoud and Alexandre Chemetoff. In 1986, he became the first landscape architect to be awarded a residency at the Villa Medici in Rome, where he developed his foundational project, Jardins élémentaires.
