
Simon Frommenwiler
Chairman of BSA Basel and Co-Founder of HHF Architects
Simon Frommenwiler is a Swiss architect and co-founding partner of HHF Architects in Basel, founded in 2003. A graduate of ETH Zurich, he began his career with Bearth & Deplazes and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in New York before establishing HHF as a studio known for its clear, adaptable designs that bridge architecture, urban life, and sustainability.
Alongside his practice, Simon lectures internationally and teaches at institutions including ENSA Strasbourg and Harvard GSD. As Chairman of the Bund Schweizer Architekten (BSA) Basel, he plays an active role in shaping architectural discourse in Switzerland, advocating for thoughtful densification and environmentally intelligent design.
