
Simon Frommenwiler
Founding Partner of HHF Architects
Simon Frommenwiler is a Swiss architect and founding partner of HHF Architects, established in 2003 in Basel, Switzerland. Born in 1972 in London, UK, Frommenwiler studied architecture at ETH Zurich, graduating in 2000 under Prof. Hans Kollhoff. Prior to founding HHF, he collaborated with Bearth & Deplazes in Chur and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in New York. HHF Architects is renowned for its innovative approach to architecture, encompassing urbanism, large-scale construction, public pavilions, and interior design. The firm has realized numerous projects across Switzerland, Germany, China, France, Mexico, and the USA. In addition to his architectural practice, Frommenwiler is committed to education. He has taught as a guest professor at institutions including the University of Fribourg, ENSA Strasbourg, and MIT. Since 2018, he has served as a Design Critic in Architecture at Harvard Graduate School of Design.
