Architect at Sofia Albrigo Office
Sofia Albrigo is an Italian architect based in Milan, known for her rigorous and concept-driven approach to spatial design. A graduate of the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio in 2016, she worked with Valerio Olgiati before founding her own practice, which emphasizes small-scale, research-oriented projects that explore new ways of inhabiting space. Albrigo also teaches at her alma mater as a lecturer in the first-year design studio. Her work spans architecture, installations, and critical writing, including contributions to The Brooklyn Rail and exhibitions such as the Roma Novissima at Mattatoio and the Display Collection for CURA. magazine at Artissima. Notable projects include the “End-to-End Encrypted” display and the “3.0 Base Camp” installation, both of which reflect her interest in architecture as a medium for questioning conventions and reimagining spatial narratives.
