Co-founder of Haller Brun
Sonja Haller is a Swiss graphic designer and co-founder of Haller Brun, the Amsterdam-based design studio she runs together with Pascal Brun. After graduating in Switzerland, the two established their studio in the Netherlands in 2011.
Working mainly across art, design, and architecture, Haller Brun is especially known for its focus on editorial design. The studio’s work combines the precision and typographic discipline of the Swiss design tradition with the directness and playfulness of Dutch visual culture.
Their approach is rooted in a close understanding of content and the development of clear, concept-driven visual systems. Across books, identities, exhibitions, and printed matter, their work is known for being refined, carefully crafted, and visually effective. Several of their projects have received prestigious international awards, reflecting the studio’s strong position within contemporary graphic and editorial design.
