Architect, Urban Planner, and Co-founder of MVRDV
Winy Maas is a Dutch architect, urban planner, and professor, best known as one of the co-founders of the globally acclaimed architecture firm MVRDV. Born in 1959 in Schijndel, Netherlands, Maas is known for his bold, experimental, and data-driven designs that rethink density and public space. His notable projects include the Markthal in Rotterdam, the Glass Farm in Schijndel, and the Tianjin Binhai Library in China. He also leads The Why Factory, a future-focused research institute at TU Delft.
