Iñaqui Carnicero – Participant
Founder/Principal RICA* STUDIO
Iñaqui Carnicero is a Spanish architect, educator, and researcher based in Madrid. A PhD graduate of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, he combines academic work with professional practice, teaching at institutions including Cornell University and ETSAM. Since 2014, he has led RICA Studio together with Lorena del Rio, developing projects focused on architecture, housing, public space, and adaptive reuse.
His work has received numerous international recognitions, including the Golden Lion at the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale for the Spanish Pavilion exhibition Unfinished. Carnicero’s practice and research explore the relationship between contemporary architecture, urban history, and sustainability through both built work and academic investigation.
