Morag Myerscough – Salt Guest
Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)
Morag Myerscough is a prolific British artist and designer celebrated for her vibrant, large-scale installations and “supergraphics” that aim to transform public spaces into environments of joy and belonging. After studying at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art, she founded Studio Myerscough in 1993, eventually shifting her practice toward immersive, participatory spatial works like the Movement Café (2012) and the Temple of Agape (2014). Her work is defined by an explosive use of color, geometric patterns, and positive messaging, often developed through close collaboration with local communities. By bridging the gap between graphic design and architecture, Myerscough creates social impact in challenging settings such as schools and hospitals—notably her work on Sheffield Children’s Hospital and the Stirling Prize-winning Burntwood School—to improve wellbeing through the built environment.
