Andreas Karavanas – Participant
Founder of NORMO
Andreas Karavanas is a contemporary Greek architect, urbanist, and educator who serves as the principal architect and founder of the design practice NORMO. He holds a comprehensive academic background with architectural studies from NTUA Athens and TU Berlin, alongside a Master of Science from the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam, which he completed in 2010 under Professor Elia Zenghelis. Karavanas has built an extensive international portfolio through his work with highly reputable offices, including OMA / Rem Koolhaas, HUB, and MAXWAN. His independent research and design work have earned prestigious accolades, most notably the first prize in the Europan 11 competition in Vienna, and his projects have been featured in international exhibitions such as the IABR, Hong Kong Design Week, and the 7th Biennale of Young Architects. Highly recognized within academia, his work is widely published, and he actively contributes to architectural discourse as a lecturer and guest critic at respected institutions including the University of Patras, NTUA Athens, and the Berlage Institute.
