
Benjamin Walker – Panelist
Design Director at LDA Design
Benjamin Walker is a Design Director for LDA Design’s London Studio working across both Urban Design and Landscape Architecture, responsible for key client relationships, establishing new contacts and building on projects to add value and expand the services offered. His role is to lead some of the studio’s most complicated and transformational projects both in the UK and abroad.
He is a passionate designer who focuses on the story, narrative, the placemaking and the conceptual strength of an idea to engage with clients beyond what would traditionally be core services. Fanatical about new technologies being utilised alongside traditional methods of communication, whilst encouraging the team to constantly push themselves and come up with new and ever more entertaining ways of sharing the vision. This has proved highly successful especially securing new business and repeat client appointments.
His recent public projects include being Design Director for the first three phases of Battersea Power Station with phase 1 complete and 2 & 3 completing soon. He has led large scale mixed use developments including South Kilburn, St Ann’s and Blackwall. He has also been involved in the delivery of award winning projects such as the London 2012 Olympic Games Olympic Park, Burgess Park and Jubilee Square. He also works internationally designing projects in Serbia, Kazakhstan, New Delhi and beyond.
