Enrico Ferraris – Panelist
Landscape Architect at MDP – Michel Desvigne Paysagiste, PARIS
Enrico Ferraris is an Italian landscape architect and a prominent project leader and collaborator at Michel Desvigne Paysagiste (MDP), the internationally renowned Paris-based landscape architecture and urban planning practice. While Michel Desvigne is the founding figurehead of the office, Ferraris represents part of the core design leadership responsible for translating the studio’s highly technical, large-scale territorial strategies into built and operative international projects.
Ferraris frequently acts as a principal designer representing MDP on major urban and landscape interventions across Europe and the Middle East. Among the most notable projects he has contributed to is the Prato Central Park in Italy, where he was part of the international competition-winning team alongside Michel Desvigne and OBR. The project transformed the site of a former hospital into a 3-hectare urban park and has become an important reference for brownfield remediation and the integration of ecological systems within a dense historic city fabric.
More recently, Ferraris has been involved in the development of the Diriyah Grand Avenue project in Saudi Arabia, contributing to MDP’s vision for a monumental yet human-centered public landscape and boulevard infrastructure. He also collaborated directly with Michel Desvigne on the Seven Beautiful Orchards masterplan proposal in Milan, working within multidisciplinary teams that included transport engineers, sociologists, and architects such as Cino Zucchi and baukuh, the practice co-founded by Pier Paolo Tamburelli.
