Philippe Chiambaretta – Salt Guest
Founder/President of PCA-STREAM (Paris)
Philippe Chiambaretta is a French architect and researcher who is widely recognized for his multidisciplinary approach to urban design and the workplace of the future. After an unconventional path that included a degree in Economics from the École des Ponts and a career in management consulting at the Boston Consulting Group, he returned to his architectural roots, founding PCA-STREAM in Paris in 2000. His practice is unique for its integration of a dedicated research arm (STREAM), which brings together anthropologists, philosophers, and scientists to rethink how the city of the 21st century is inhabited and built. Chiambaretta’s work is characterized by “metabolism” and sustainable renewal, exemplified by his high-profile transformation of the Champs-Élysées and the restructuring of the historic 175 Haussmann building, where he prioritizes ecological resilience and the wellbeing of urban residents.
