Toni Girones – Participant
Founder of Estudi d’Arquitectura Toni Gironès
Toni Gironès is a Spanish architect, educator, and researcher whose work is recognized for its careful integration of architecture, landscape, and territory. Based in Barcelona, he founded his own practice in 1993 and has developed a body of work that responds closely to climate, memory, materiality, and local context. His projects often emphasize reuse, sustainability, and a sensitive relationship between built form and the environment, combining spatial clarity with a strong social and cultural dimension.
Alongside his professional practice, Gironès has taught and lectured internationally at institutions including ETSAV, URV, BIARCH, and the EINA University School of Design and Art. His work has been widely exhibited and published, and has received several major distinctions, including the 2019 Spanish National Architecture Award for the Climate Museum in Lleida.
