
Zydi Teqja – Panelist

Zydi Teqja is an environmental scientist, landscape architecture educator, and researcher with more than 26 years of experience across sustainability, land-use planning, green space management, and agricultural policy. His work brings together academic research, public policy, and international consultancy, with a particular focus on the relationship between urban green spaces, human wellbeing, climate change, and the protection of natural resources.
Teqja has spent more than 15 years in academia, while also contributing to public institutions, donor-funded projects, and agribusiness associations. Following his tenure as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2015–2016, he has played a key role in advancing landscape architecture education in Albania, contributing to the establishment of the country’s first undergraduate and graduate programs in the field.
His international consultancy experience, including work in Nigeria, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan, continues to inform a commitment to sustainable land management, urban green space development, and climate-responsive planning in Albania.
