Founding Partner & Principal of Michan Architeture
Joining Michan Architecture in 2022, Alexandra Bové focuses on the interior architecture, design, furniture, and detailing of projects. A trained architect, she explores the tactility of design; the use of light to create ephemeral spaces or zones of respite and introspection; the use of select or strategic apertures to direct a view; and the conscious use of materials and their lifespan to hint at timelessness. HIYA, a small robata and wine bar defined by locally sourced wild tamarind wood, beige stucco, and fair-faced concrete, reflects a total interior environment completed under Ale’s direction, includ- ing custom furniture and chair designs. Originally from Spain, she holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Master’s degree in Science of Construction from Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB). Prior to joining Michan Architecture, Alex worked at Liebman Villavecchia Arquitectos in Barcelona, overseeing residential projects.
