Stijn Poelstra – Panelist

Stijn Poelstra is an accomplished architectural photographer and videographer who leverages a technical background in architecture to capture the built environment with precision and depth. Holding a cum laude degree in Architecture from Delft University of Technology, he transitioned from practicing architect to full-time visual artist in 2012. His work is defined by an “architectural eye” that prioritizes space, proportion, and materiality, often exploring the layering of urban contexts and intimate details. By combining high-end photography, cinematic video, and drone footage, Poelstra develops cohesive visual strategies for renowned firms and projects, including the BIG HQ in Copenhagen and the Dutch Holocaust Memorial of Names. His approach focuses on translating the functional essence and emotional intent of a design into a compelling, distinctive visual language.
