Ana Coello (Ana Coello de Llobet) is a distinguished landscape architect and urban designer whose work emphasizes the integration of ecological systems within urban infrastructure. After earning her architecture degree from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), she completed a Master of Landscape Architecture at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. Her professional trajectory includes significant roles at world-leading firms such as Agence Ter in Paris and Martha Schwartz Partners in Boston. In 2007, she founded ACPA (Ana Coello Paisaje y Arquitectura) in Barcelona, an interdisciplinary studio that operates across multiple scales, from intimate garden design to large-scale regional planning. Coello is perhaps best known for her leadership on the transformation of Barcelona’s Plaça de les Glòries, a project that won first prize for its “Urban Canopy” concept and has been recognized for its innovative approach to biodiversity and public space.
