Chris Precht – Short Talks
Architect and Founder of Studio Precht
Chris Precht is an Austrian architect and founder of Studio Precht, a practice internationally recognized for its visionary approach to ecological and nature-integrated design. His work explores the relationship between architecture, landscape, and storytelling, often proposing new forms of living rooted in sustainability, emotional connection, and regenerative thinking.
Together with Fei Tang, Precht has developed projects that investigate vertical farming, modular housing, timber construction, and the use of natural materials such as rammed earth and bamboo. Concepts including The Farmhouse and Bert have gained international attention for reimagining architecture as part of broader ecological systems. Alongside his built and speculative work, Precht has become a prominent voice advocating for slower, more meaningful forms of architectural practice, critiquing image-driven design culture while promoting environmentally responsible and human-centered approaches to the built environment.
