Jeanne Gang – Keynote
Founder of Studio Gang
Jeanne Gang, FAIA, is the founding partner of Studio Gang and a globally recognized architect whose practice is defined by “actionable idealism”—a philosophy that combines design ambition, technical innovation, ecological responsibility, and social advocacy. A MacArthur Fellow and recognized as one of TIME magazine’s most influential people, Gang has reshaped modern urban landscapes with landmark projects such as Chicago’s undulating Aqua Tower and the 101-story St. Regis Chicago, as well as the critically acclaimed Richard Gilder Center in New York. Her work extends beyond high-rise architecture to include civic and cultural projects, marked by a particular sensitivity towards sustainability, including the David Rubenstein Treehouse, the reimagined Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, and ongoing international commissions such as the U.S. Embassy in Brasília. In addition to her practice, she serves as the Kajima Professor in Practice at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, has authored four books including The Art of Architectural Grafting (2024), and has been a pioneer in leading professional reforms such as closing the gender wage gap. Her contributions to the field have been recognized with major honors, including the 2026 Thomas Jefferson Foundation Medal in Architecture and from the French National Order of the Legion of Honor.
